Oh Canada Oh Canada

so I would just like to start of with a stacting story.

so most missionaries have stories like we knocked and knocked and door after door no after no then one says yes. but that is not how this story goes.

Elder Darley was letting me plan out our day so I get all excited I get to go where I think we would go!! kinda attitude (I am really excited) I am looking at the map where to go tracting and I am like I have never heard this street before lets go there. so we are knocking people are nice here so they talk to you "just" to be nice then say no. as we are walking we start to go up this stairs that lead up to this really really old rundown house (and the stairs were the same way7 feet off the ground). I knock on the door and knock again and no one is home. as we turn to go down the stairs to keep tracting Elder Darley falls through ! the run down stairs like one of the boards just broke haha (he did not hit the ground he caught himself by the time he was half way through the porch) It was the funnies thing yet on the mission. . . we leave and on our way back we see this guy looking at his broke porch. So we go up to him and start saying sorry that elder Darley fell through (he was ok along as Elder Darley was ok) now to make things short,l he now has a baptismal date for the end of october!! haha how awesome !

 also just a quick thing I was on splits with Elder bassett and in his area there is a street called Wadey street so i was kinda like we have got to go here so we went and the very first house we knock on the guy's name was WADE like what?!?!?!  I am working hard out here like holy cow satan works HARD on the Lord's missionaries.

This Week All the Way Up In Canada

Soo I am going to start off with the photos I sent a pic of food because I wanted to show what I would eat out here in the mission field !! yeah That is a lie that food is the best meal that I have made back at the apartment haha the second photo is all the missionaries that are serving in the hole city of Regina. (oh i am so happy I am in a city because if I was not in the city the only other missionary I would see in my Comp. ) so The city is a nice place to serve. 

Oh so Saturday night came and I was so so happy because we had 9 !! investigators who said they were going to come to Church !! How cool is that. . . BUT wait When sunday come the next day we were calling people making sure that everyone was going to have a ride and all that good stuff..... (Hear is the worst part) so we call Ken (a man who has read and prayed about the book of Mormon and says he know that it is from God) and when I asked Ken if he was coming he said he never wanted to talk to us again and he was not coming to church. (I was sad but then just remembered all I am here on a mission is to bring the gospel to people and let them choose and use their agency if they want to follow what the Lord wants for them) Then our 2 other people with baptismal dates have stopped answering their phone and stopped coming to the door so they did not come to Church.

Then the worst one just because it was kinda our fault that she and her whole family did not come. . . so her and her family said they would just want to church which was awesome !! because then we dont have to fined a ride for them or any thing. 12:10roles around and her husband calls and says that they actually do want ride. . . all the people that we called said they could give them a ride at 12:30 but they were running really late and had to open the school (where church is) so we could set up the sacrement and ended up not getting to their house until 1:10 and but that time she probably thought that we had forgot about her and so she went shopping so she did not come to church. . . anyways that was a really long way of telling you guys that all 9 of our investigators did not come to church.

-Sunday in a different ward someone what baptized earlier this week and I was asked to confirm her a member in sacrement !! that was an awesome experience!! 

This week we also had Zone conference and we had Elder Andersen some (from the 70) and the topic that everyone picked (that was speaking was faith) and best part was this "Faith is NOT just believing that Christ is there for you and that he really but faith is Trusting IN Gods will and Knowing that it will all work out as long as we are following His commandments!!  

I know that Christ is there for each and everyone of us. I know that He lives and that He has died for me and would do it all over again if it was just for me. Christ Loves us That much !! He will do anything for us as long as we Trust (have faith) in His will/ timeing. 

CHRIST IS THERE FOR YOU !!

Well sorry I am kinda short on time right now so sorry to everyone who I was not able to email to this week I will try to type faster next week so I can get to them all...

 So quick story So this Sunday we were driving to the church and it is (12 K away form our apartment and we only have 57 k a day) and when we arrived I noticed that i had forgotten my suit coat so I call Elder Jensen to see if I can use one of his suit coats so he was so nice and said I could use one and Sooo I did not really fit in it like i could not butten it up or anything and I could not lean forward because I was scared that I would rip the coat and you have to remember That I has wearing that suit coat form 9 am -5 pm holy cow I was so so uncomfortable haha but I am happy that I could use it.

 also i went on splits this week so i went with Elder Fowler and we went to a guys house who's name was jason and Jason was a funny dude like as we were talking to him he showed us this jar of dead flys that when he kills them he will put them in this jar and he calls them like the living dead jar or something like that.

 so a little bit about people where I am at. the people in here are nice (which kinda really stinks) only because we will set an appointment with some one and they will say yes and then when you come back and knock on the door you see the TV turn off and then people hiding from you (if you dont want to talk to us then dont waist our time by saying yes to us coming back) we will talk to people all the time that are like this but also people I think people think that we are the cops haha also people here as we are walking down the street trying to talk to people they will just cross the road so they wont have to talk to us haha that is ok because we just follow them across the read. I guess I am getting used to knocking on doors because for my first area they were opening a new area so there is all new some yeah so we have to start from the beginning so that is kinda funny (haha) so my first tracking approach that I had went a little buit like this Hello we are the missio --- I dont want what you guys are selling... we dont sell anything we teach people about Jesus Christ ---- Oh yeah I dont want any of that stuff either slams the door haha ( you also have to remember that hole time I had my had out to shake his haha) ( that is one of the not so nice people). but the part of canada I am in the not nice at all ( I have never seen so so many broken windows because of rocks through through them. . . I am in the hood ) (like not joking we are not aloud to track after it gets dark because they say it is not safe for use to be there haha yeah)

 I love love teaching teaching people it just makes me so happy. . . but the funny thing is i also love giving talks in church hahah kinda funny now but I dont know what it is (haha I think I just might like to hear my self talk haha no that is not it I just love sharing my testimony with people and seeing how that can change how people think. . . SOOO where I am getting with this is I would encourage you all the share what you KNOW and that will make your testimony so much stronger !! Oh by the way there is Rabbits and squirrels like EVERY where !!!

Holy cow the weeks here drag on right now. I love teaching so much I love being able to share my testimony all the time with like everyone i get to know haha. but what makes the week so long is when I am in the rooms. I don't even know what to say about that place (they are nice rooms) but I just HATE being in there because I start to think about all you guys and how awesome I think all you guys are. 

I don't know why but everyone just want to give me stuff like this week people i dont know how many times i was offered a cigarette and I was also offered BEER haha they just wanted give me anything haha yeah the funny thing is that they never ask if Elder Darley wants any but they only ask me. haha what are you going to do about it other then just say no. . .

This week Elder Darley and I had 2 investigators come to church !! that was awesome !! there names are cassy and Nathaniel and they are both 18 and living together (we have not taught them that lesson yet haha) but these to people are awesome they love the lessons when we teach. I am really excited for them.

this week also I go to Church all day like form 7 am - 7 pm holy cow that was ssssssooooo long haha it is nice through sundays are the best. so I went to a inter city group. . . (in the North Central area people dont have money for cars so there is a church for people to walk to)(it is just a room not a hole Church) so I walked in there and in the room there was only 7 people there including me !! 

and 2 others were my investigators how weird. . . haha week I have to go my time is up so love you guys.

Oh Canada

Well I am called to the Regina north Central area YSA and Lamanite (native people) fun fact about this spot is the North Central area in the most dangerous spot in canada so We are not allowed to go there after it gets dark. . . haha its all good it is only bad at night so I am all ok the Lord would not be willing to put me somewhere I would not be ok going that. So the native people are so nice (during the day)(at least to us haha) but a lot of people are willing to let us come and set appointment with us. The only problem is when we show up we see them through the window and when we knock on the door the TV turns off and they act like no one is home haha it kinda stinks but it is their choice so its ok... I was able to give my first books for Mormon !!! (3 of them) it was awesome !! oh I forgot to mention that the North Central area is a brand new mission so (white washed) any ways back to my story about all the new investigators ... So Elder Darly (my COMP.) and I are walking around knocking on doors where we were supposed to have appointment and again no one is home. anyways a man opens his door and we were talking to him and He has just gotten out of Jail (no idea why) and he comes out was lights his cigarette and asks if we want on haha. so we start teaching him about the Book of Mormon and that is going really well and he wants the book of Mormon (1 book for me) and then the rest of his family shows up and he tells them all to sit down and talk to us so now we have 5 people sitting on the front of there house all listening to us (which was awesome !) and then the dad tells the girls to go get us these drinks ( no idea what they have just handed us to drink) so I was kinda freaking out like what is this man having us drink) so we are trying to talk to them and smell what type of drink we have just gotten but I just tried it any ways. . . you will never believe what I drank haha yeah you would it was cherry soda haha so so happy it was that. any ways we were able to finish our lesson and now were have another appointment with this family really excited. oh this week on sunday it was 8:00 am and I get a call and they were asking me to give a talk in Church about my favorite mission story haha i told him I would give a talk but I was only 3 days in haha the talk went really really well. . . after church the bishop pulled me aside and said how happy he was and how much the ward is going to love having me in the ward teaching them. which was awesome to hear!! anyways Canada is cool. I cant wait until i am like 12 weeks in so I don't get home sick haha   well thanks Love Elder Wade

MTC Life

this week we had 2 Apostles come Elder Ballerd and Elder Anderson!!!! HOW  cool is that 3 Apostles in 2 weeks !!! it cant get better then that here at the MTC. . .  I feel really bad through because I ALWAYS fall asleep for the first like 20 min the the devotionals. (sad) so I always wake up like 5 min already into their talks. I still got a lot out of them but i just miss out on so much because of the sleep and then the worst part is Then I CANT sleep that night (mad face) not because i am home sick but because i just took a nap like 1 hour ago. . . 

I have started the book of Mormon over this last Thursday and I am already on page 70 !!(which is great for me because I am a slow reader) haha that is ok. . .  reading the Book of Mormon all over again and trying to read more then just one chapter a day is so awesome!! I can get so much more out of reading. . ..

so we are in the new building for the school part of the MTC which means we are not allowed to have any food up there. . .  anyways the 4 people going to Canada brought a hole suit case worth of food up into class trying to get the teacher to let us go outside and have a big party !!! (we had so much food) anyways some home the janitors found out that we were bringing food into the building and they were so mad (they told all of this to another group of Missionarys haha I don't know why they got mad at them for what we did. but that is ok with me) 

Here at the MTC we get to do practice lessons with fake investigators which is kinda alot of fun learning how to teach and share the gospel. . . We had one investigator who's name Paula. She was so awesome to teach. I was able to give my testimony on the importance of reading the Book of Mormon  everyday and also my testimony of Joseph Smith the Spirit was so strong. it was great.

does anyone else realize that i only have 4 more days until i get to move to Canada ??? How crazy is that ?!?!?!  I still cant believe that i am really going to Canada the one place that I have always wanted to go it is it is just so awesome. . .  

I miss home but i also love it so so so much here i just cant wait to be able to be really teaching people that are looking for the gospel... I know that this church is true and the most important thing is I KNOW that we have a loving Heavenly father who wants to help each and everyone of us all we have to do is be humble enough to get down on our knees and ask him for his help and be willing to do anything that the Lord wants you to do. . .

This Week

Well where do I start ?!?!?! This week has gone by so so fast I feel like it was Saturday just 2 days ago! This week has been so much fun being able to learn to teach better and know what to say. WOW I am learning so much it is just great!! 

 One day this week Elder Roberts and I just finished teaching a lesson and we walk into my room and ALL of my roommates stole my bed!! like I cant finned it anywhere !! so I am running around looking into all the rooms around us looking for my bed. . . Any ways I look into a room and there is some kid i don't even know looking at another kids bed asking "why is there too beds on this one bed ??" right as he said that I put MY bed on my back and don't even respond to him and just walk out. haha i still have not talked to that kid.

This week as I was walking around trying to get to the next place I saw sooo many people I knew like 5 diffrent groups of people!! so that was cool !

So Elder's carr, Jensen and I have gotten soo many packages this week. which is great I love getting stuff but I have so much food Right now (each person gets there own place to put there clothes and we have 2 !! of those places filled with food Like holy cow we have so much food. 

our room is (all the 4 peoples going to Canada room) is the cool room we have people over all the time just chilling and hanging out during the night (even people I don't know who they are haha we all love it)

oh yeah I almost forgot but this week I get some NERF Guns from my family but we use those all the time. We actually came up with is fun game that is kinnda like the cowboys shooting things were you have to stand so fare from the other person and you have to try to shoot the other Elders name tags !! That was way fun we really got into that game. we even did a double elimination braket !! And guess who came in first !! this guy haha Elder Wade 1 Elder Jensen 2 and Elder Carr 3 all top 3 all people who are going to Canada !!

last Sunday Elder Bednar came and that was just so cool being able to here him speak.

We are doing a lot of learning the Gospel and teaching right not I just don't think that is as fun to read so I don't put that much in haha But teaching is really a lot of here some of the fake investagators (teachers) are really good and giving the Elders a hard time by not paying atention while to teach so that you get used to that when there is a family and you are trying to teach one person and the rest of the family does not want to be there is that is really cool. 

I am Loving it here but I also cant wait to go out to Canada spread the gospel.
