Canada Life

Well Transfers are here so Elder Craven will be leaving and My new comp is going to be Elder Sim (Elder Jensens Trainee) So that is going to be cool ! so elder Sim was the missionary who had to go to the MTC and I came into his spot and now he is coming back here!

This week we did some service for this lady all the way at Denare Beach (look it up if you can it is awesome ! after the mission that would be the place I would go visit ! ) anyways I did something that I did not know was a thing... a ruff rake (it takes all the snow off of the ruff of the house) maybe I am the only one who did not know that but it's true... There is SO much snow here... we needed to take all the snow off of the ruff and move it out away form the house to help prevent water damage so we made a path through the yard so we could take the wheelbarrow there... The snow was up to my hips ! at some places.

Oh funny thing about doing that it was what we would call a Hot day (4C or 39F) and we started off with our jackets on and gloves but by the end we were just in our white shirts and bare hand doing all this snow removal stuff.

This week was kinda long though all of our investigators kinda fell off the map it felt like (no they just could not meet this week) so we had only 2 lessens this week so that call for a lot of tracking ! (yeah tracking is my Favorite thing to do haha no I would not call it My Favorite thing but there is not a lot of other ways of finding street contacting is not to good because no one wants to be our side haha and we only have like 25 members(including kids) so we can't do member referrals. all the time so we can't come up with anything more to do so that is what we do (OH so if anyone has any ideas I would not be made if you send me some ideas ! haha)

Well thanks for all the Love and support ! I am doing good up here. Just doing my best, Thats all we are asked to do right ?!!

this sunday I also gave a talk on prophets so if you want to read it here it is if not you can stop here. 👍 _____________________________________________________________

Much of my life I have been involved in many diffrent sports. From golf and soccer all the way to football and Lacrosse.

No matter what sport you play they All have somethings in commen. The first being practice, practice is were each Player on The team, No madder The skill Level, size or strength goes each day to learn principles. Let's take lacrosse for example (My favorite) some of the skills we learn or try to improve on would be passing the ball, running, and shooting. All very important to the game of lacrosse.

The next each sport has in common would be a coach. A coach is someone with lots of experience, tips and insite to the game. They are here to teach the players and give them guidance, not only in practice but during game time.

Which leads us to the next point I would like to talk about, game time. Every sport must have this. Game day is the time when all of the principles and skills are to be tested.

Well brothers and sister we are in a game of life "For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God"

Here at church is what I would like to compair to practice, "we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ". Church is where No madder our "Spiritual" skill Level, size or strength each sunday day we get to come and learn and Practice principles of the Gospel, such as "Charity never Failith" we learn how to "bear one another's burdens, that they may be light" and learn how to Look to Christ at all time, in all things, and in all places.

We all know this life is hard. We each have different trails and changes, our Heavenly Father is aware of them. He Loves us and does not want us to face these spiritual and physical trails by our selfs walking in the dark. "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the Prophets"

We have been give help so don't have to walk aimlessly walk in darkness. Modern-day prophets are modern-day coach's someone with lots of experience, tips and insite to the game of life, but I will add they also they receive Devine assistance form the greatest coach of all, our heavenly father.

Prophets are the Lord's mouth peases. That is why we need them in our lives today. We are so lucky that we live in this great day and age.

Brothers and sisters we have the blessing and opportunity to hear from these prophets in a couple of weeks. I would like you to think, what did I learn last general conference? Then may I add, did I apply the teaching of these men? Did I treasure these talk that were given? Did I use the coaches advise? Or did I chose to walk by my self neglecting words of the Lord's given servence?

Yesterday as Elder Craven and I were nocking on doors. A man opend up and we started on a conversation of Faith, and what faith is.

He compared faith to a young child. A child learning to walk reaches up in complete conference to his father and his mother holding on to their finger for balance.

Spiritualy When we get older we no longer feel the need to hold on to that finger of our Heavenly Father.

 King Benjamin states
"For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father."

When we listen and follow the guidance of our Heavenly fathers Prophets we are reaching up and holding the finger of our Heavenly Father, knowing and trusting He is there for us. "Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not."

Living Phropets are here to bless and guide us. I am grateful for their love to all of us.

In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Canada

Well this week was good!

So our Branch did a branch activity of ice skating ! (sad think is we are not allowed to Ice skate 😕) so we were there talking to the members sitting on the side (I was sitting on the wall of the arena) and I dont remember who I was talking to and I was talking and then out of nowhere Brother Angel comes over with his hockey stick and kinda hockey slammed me over the wall (it was not hard at all I just was not expecting it) and plot. my feet are over the wall and I am stuck in the snow behind me haha

as we were there we were talking on the ice (in our shoes not skates) with hockey sticks passing the puk back and Forth even with a 8 year old boy also so that was fun... while we were there a son (looked like 14 or 15) and his dad show up and they were practicing the kids hockey skills... so being missionaries we went and talked with him about the Gospel.( he was not interested) so I offered to be passing the puk to his kid so he could be taking a break on the side as the kid (Deven is his name) still got in some practice so that was fun!!

So last week I was telling you about Joseph and how excited he was to be baptised ? so we went on friday to have a lesson with him. he moved back to Pukatawagan(we call it puk for short) for a couple of weeks because he was needed back at home. so we will not be teaching him for a little while sad but he told us that went he gets back he want to continue taking the lessons!

so this week we met with a laddie named (I dont know how to spell it, it is spanish and yeah so Andreya) (on-dr-A-Ya) is how it sounds but she has a really hard work skagual to make it to church at 10am 7pm-7am but this week we were at church and she did not tell us she was going to come (and when we had a lesson she did not say that we was going to try to also) but her and her husband came to church this week ! so that is really cool... (it is hard to teach her because she does understand english but lot alot out of the scriptures in english so when we read with her we read in english and she will read in spanish type of stuff.. it is cool through ! we are excited !

thanks for all the Love and support !
